Sharing Shapes

A wonderful project from Elizabeth Stanley and Marcelina Kerywdanska, this video highlights a demonstration as Elizabeth teaches Marcelina the art of needlework. Skills like handy crafts are at risk of being lost if not handed down from generation to generation.

Elizabeth is a member of a group of women who have devoted countless hours to making clothes and other objects for charitable causes. Crafty Angels, a group of 30 ladies, meet every Monday in the Millennium Centre in Caherconlish for two and a half hours. They combine a chat, a cuppa, and an interest in all forms of craft with charity work.
